Project Overview
Byerly Aviation is a privately owned, full-service FBO with a world-class maintenance operation, paint shop, avionics shop, parts sales, aircraft sales, aircraft management, charter, and ground support equipment sales and refurbishments.
They needed a website revamp that highlighted their new branding and allowed users to order avionics parts via e-commerce support and view aircraft for sale listings.
Contributions
Working in collaboration with Matheson Media, Corp., I was the only designer on the project, so everything you see I created myself. I was involved in the process from beginning to end and everything from creating flows and wireframes, all the way to creating final UI designs.
Starting with the basics. Who, what and why.
We started with strategy and defined the brand and its target audience. We identified the target audience and had a lot of insight, so it was only a matter of consolidating the findings to identify user pain points and proper user flow. The next step was to establish a site map.
Site Map
Wireframes & User Flow
After we defined the flow and established the site map, We proceeded with creating the wireframes to explore the experience in more detail on a screen-by-screen level.
Visual Xploration
Next we moved to exploring the overall look and feel of the website. We created landing page mock-ups using the same layout but different styles. Taking this route helped communicate different directions we could take more vividly, as the client could clearly see the impact each direction would have.
Final User Interface
After the logo was complete I proceeded with designing the final landing page and user interface
